CALL FOR PAPERS
(Deadline for Abstracts 18th April 2003)
LEARNING STYLES - A CONFERENCE RELEVANT TO EVERYONE INTERESTED IN LEARNING,
TEACHING, ASSESSMENT, TRAINING, DEVELOPMENT, PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT,
INDIVIDUAL & GROUP BEHAVIOUR
We would like to bring to your attention a conference addressing
cognitive/learning styles, scheduled for 30th June to 2nd July 2003 at the
University of Hull in the UK. This is the 8th annual conference of the
European Learning Styles Information Network (ELSIN). A web site for the
conference can be found at http//www.hull.ac.uk/elsin where you can find
lots of information and registration details.
For those of you aware of the developments in style differences, we should
refer to the key speakers: one is Professor Rita Dunn, who has authored a
very well known Learning Styles Inventory and achieved a high impact with
her work in the USA and elsewhere over the past 30 years.
A second is Dr Armin Paul Thies from Yale University in the USA, an eminent
pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in clinical neuropsychology and
clinical psychology. Dr Thies is currently working on the inter-face
between individual difference psychology, learning, and neuro-science.
We would be very grateful if you would pass this information on to anyone
else who may be interested.
Thank you
Julie Arnold (Conference Manager)
Steve Armstrong (Conference Organiser)
