This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Association for Media and
Technology in Education in Canada (AMTEC). The year's conference venue
is Montreal and the dates are 2003 May 25-28. The theme "E-convergence:
Education, Media and Technology; its implications on learning and
teaching; and the skills needed to succeed in electronic and mediated
environments - Media Literacy, Information Literacy and Technological
Literacy." The annual Panasonic Media Festival, recognizing outstanding
examples of educational TV, film, interactive multimedia and computer
software, runs concurrently. The Panasonic Media Festival awards
banquet is the evening of May 26 at an Old Montreal Heritage building
Restaurant. Tuesday night we go to a Quebecois Sugaring Off Party! For

AMTEC invites producers of instructional and informational media to
submit entries in all five classifications of the Festival: school
system; post-secondary institution; government organization;
commercial/industry agency and student productions. Awards are presented
for the best video, film, slide, audio and multimedia productions. The
awards, as well as clips from winning productions, are presented at the
Media Festival ceremonies. The deadline is April 22, 2003.

L'AMTEC invite donc les producteurs de médias éducatifs et informatifs à
soumettre au Festival des médias leurs productions dans cinq groupes :
système scolaire, institutions post-secondaires, organismes
gouvernementaux, agences commerciales ou industrielles, et productions
d'élèves ou d'étudiants.
