It is my pleasure to invite you to the 13th annual European Learning Styles Information Network (ELSIN) conference, taking place in Ghent, Belgium on 23, 24 and 25 June 2008. The ELSIN

2008 conference will provide a varied programme, with four keynote talks, paper sessions, workshops (including a PhD workshop for PhD students), symposia, and informal social activities.

You can find more information in the attached flyer and on the conference website: www.elsin2008.com .

People who want to present their work at the ELSIN 2008 conference, can submit abstracts for individual papers, workshops, and symposia.

Deadline for abstract submission is 1 February 2008. More specific guidelines on the abstract submission process and the ELSIN 2008 conference can be found on the conference website.

    Why joining the ELSIN conference?

    Delegates from previous conferences testify...

"The symposium 'Whither Styles' was thought provoking and more than a

proof of the continued interest in learning styles and the concern about

the future of the discipline." (ELSIN 2007)

"Looking back, I'm very glad my colleague convinced me to try the ELSIN

experience. Compared to other conferences I have been to, I found the

ELSIN conference to have a very friendly, informal and positive

atmosphere. I really appreciated the talks between researchers at

different points of their career. Discussions between PhD students and

keynote speakers and between delegates from totally different cultures

were fascinating to see and to be part of."  (ELSIN 2006)

"My first foray into the international conference world of learning

styles was one of great excitement and personal growth as an educator. I

met educators from Saudi Arabia, Greece, England, Wales, and other

places in Europe. What I did not expect was such a great variety of

workshops, nor did I realise how far this extended in Europe and Asia. I

look forward to returning to the European Conference in the near

    future." (ELSIN 2005)

Please feel free to forward this message to interested colleagues.

If you are interested in flyers or posters to help us publicise the

conference, just send us an email with your address details and we post

    them.

I hope to meet you next year at the ELSIN 2008 conference in June!

    Best wishes,

    Eva
