Gary I read some of your papers...and I knew that you are familiar with
books about innovation..also I knew that noone teach you to be innovative or
creative....if we look back to ours ancesors we can agreed that they
invented fire, circle, colours etc. without books, but with experience..I
also think that books collect our knowledge and Gutenberg innovation was one
of the most important in the history...
innovation means different for different people and in different
countries...
Where is the line between:
Doing something I know about more often or altogether different
for similar discussion , please see

aditionaly we can discuss about human genom new knowledge? ...I accept that
was the first use of new knowledge but structure was the same during the
human history....I can accept that innovation is" the invention of new
technologies, products and production processes, through the successful
exploitation of ideas"
Richard Branson - DTI Innovation lecture, 1998 said
An innovative business is one which lives and breathes 'outside the box'. It
is not just good ideas, it is a combination of good ideas, motivated staff
and an instinctive understanding of what your customer wants."
More businesses are recognising that competitive advantage comes from
knowledge and new ideas. That means companies need to develop and protect
intellectual property as a mechanism for growth within their business.
"Innovation occurs when a new or changed product is introduced to the
market, or when a new or changed process is used in commercial production.
The innovation process is the combination of activities - such as design,
research, market investigation, process development, organisational
restructuring, employee development and so on - which are necessary to
develop and support an innovative product or production process."
CBI Innovation and Trends Survey
Innovation concerns the search for and the discovery, experimentation,
development, imitation and adoption of new products, new processes and new
organisational set ups.
I think taht ideas and crativity are the most important factors and can't be
learnt....
sincery yours....
