    Hi all,

I have a very capable MA student who is keen on studying in Japan: she has
visited for a couple of months and has family working there and so is
familiar with the country and culture.

She is currently applying for a Monbusho scholarship for 2004, and wants to
do work on influences on Japanese buying behaviour / decision making, with
particular reference to the tourist industry. Her thesis, which she is
currently working on is a perception study of Japanese tourists as they
    relate to Scandinavian tourist destinations.

I am trying to assist her in identifying any academics in Japan active in
this field and who would be interested in supervising her, so if anyone can
suggest appropriate colleagues she could contact, I'd be grateful for their
    details.

    Thanks in advance

    George
