Assistant Professor of Management
The Department of Management and Marketing at Salisbury University's Franklin P. Perdue School of Business is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Management.
Area(s) of Specialization: Human Resource Management and/or Organizational Behavior
Primary Job Duties: Teach courses in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior and other management courses at the undergraduate and MBA level as per the needs of the department while maintaining an active research agenda. We seek candidates who use effective teaching and classroom management strategies that enhance the success of diverse learners. The normal teaching load is 9 hours per semester.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Management or a related discipline. ABD candidates are eligible, and would be hired at the rank of Instructor with the requirement that the doctoral degree be completed within one year of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications: Doctoral degree from an AACSB accredited university. Capable of meeting AACSB Scholarly Academic/ Academically Qualified (SA/AQ) as per the current definitions of the Perdue School of Business. Demonstrated ability to publish in peer reviewed management journals. Preference would be given to candidates with experience in teaching from among the following HR & OB courses (Human Resource Management, Staffing in Organizations, Employee Management Relations, Compensation, Training and Development, Organizational Behavior). Professional experience in Human Resource Management or a related area is also preferred.

Committee representatives will be available for initial interviews at the Academy of Management (AOM) conference in Anaheim California from August 6 – 9, 2016. Candidates not attending AOM will be considered for Skype interviews following the conference. Salary is competitive for AACSB accredited public universities and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment is expected to begin August 2017 and is contingent upon verification of eligibility to work in the U.S.
