My organization's leadership and management training is currently offered
primarily through classroom-based training. We're interested in moving to
more of a blended learning approach, in which online activities supplement
and complement our core classroom-based training. I have two requests of
    list members:

    * Can you recommend a training program that I can attend that will
help me with the transition from classroom-based training (at which I have
many years of experience) to blended instruction (at which I have no
personal experience)? I need to learn about the technology used in online
instruction, as well as facilitation tips for distance learning
facilitation. The ideal training program for me would be 1) short (a number
of days as opposed to a number of weeks or months), and 2) available by
distance learning, or available in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

    * Can you recommend non-academic articles that describe organizations
that have made the transition from classroom-based instruction to blended
instruction? My organization is looking for success stories that will help
us refine our own picture of what blended learning success will look like
    for us.

Thanks in advance for your responses, which are always helpful. If there is
sufficient interest, I will provide a summary to the list in about ten days.

You may find these books useful. Both are sets of case studies.
