    Some general information about ITP

The International Teachers Programme (ITP), has helped over 1,000 faculty
educators worldwide develop as teachers and institutional innovators since
its launch more than 30 years ago. Organised by the International Schools of
Business Management, a consortium of ten international business schools
located in Europe and the US (e.g. IMD, Insead, Kellogg, LBS, and Stern),
the program offers an opportunity to explore issues in business and
management education in an international context.

This year ITP will be hosted by the Stockholm School of Economics in
    Sweden.

    During the Programme participants will:
    - gain a better understanding of their teaching style, assumptions and needs
    as teachers
    - work with faculty and business educators from many countries, cultures and
    disciplines
    - refine and extend their teaching skills to become more effective
    educators
    - explore teaching and learning issues from an interdisciplinary perspective
    - examine key issues and technologies for education in the future
    - develop international awareness and understanding of business education
    - join a network of ITP alumni who actively support professional development

    The Programme consists of a net-based phase (15 September-December 2003) and
    two Residential Modules (3-10 January & 3-10 July 2004) linked by a
    professional development project.

Further information about ITP can be found at www.itp-schools.org and in the
enclosed brochure (pdf-file). You can also get in touch with one of the
program directors, Pär Mårtensson (par.martensson@hhs.se) who is also the
    MED Liaison to Sweden.
