ExperienceCSR, a five-hour workshop offered on August 1st, combines
lecture and web-based simulation. Participants will explore a synthesis
of CSR theory and experience an adragogically sound teaching methodology.
The University of St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto and
academic simulation vendor ExperiencePoint developed ExperienceCSR for
both graduate and executive level CSR education.
The ExperienceCSR workshop utilizes a learning-by-doing methodology.
First, the facilitator provides a brief theory burst after which
participants are divided into teams. Using the web-based simulation,
participants play the role of advisors to an organization struggling
with critical CSR issues.
The simulation offers powerful learnings about CSR, leadership, and the
benefits of using teams for problem solving and decision-making.
