    Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to a special event during the
    forthcoming Academy meetings in Seattle.

Please note details below and I would be delighted to see you there.

    INVITATION

CHRIS ARGYRIS RECEIVES A MANAGEMENT LEARNING
    “LIFE TIME LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT” AWARD

Management Learning (The International Journal of Managerial
and Organisational Learning and Development) would like to
invite you to a Special Event which will be held at the Academy
of Management annual meeting, Seattle, USA, 1 – 6 August,
    2003.

In what is the second in a series of events, following the
Celebration and award of Prof. Karl Weick as a ‘Timeless
Learner’, Management Learning this year will honour Prof. Chris
    Argyris.

In recognition of both his valued scholarly contributions to
Managerial and Organisational Learning and not least his 80th
Birthday the ‘Life-time Learning Achievement’ Award will provide
a rare opportunity through an interview format to explore and
reflect on his life, scholarship, and lessons learnt from studying
    learning.

The event which will include a presentation, interview and
reception, is organized by the Management Learning Journal
    and sponsored by Sage Publications.

Please join us in what we hope will be another wonderful
opportunity to celebrate Learning and learn more about each
    other.

    Date: Saturday August 2, 2003
    Time: 6.30 - 9.30 pm
