Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and
Management
Utah State University invites nominations and applications for the
position of Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and
Management, beginning Fall, 2004
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include: (1) Ph.D. in OB
or closely related field completed by August, 2004; (2)
established or emerging research record in organization
behavior, management, human resources, or related field; (3)
demonstrated excellence or potential in teaching organization
behavior and management at the university level; (4) ability to
work productively and cooperatively with students and
colleagues; and (5) the ability to teach in either human resource
management or entrepreneurship as a third area.
Duties: Tenure track position. Teach undergraduate and
graduate courses in organization behavior and related areas (two
courses per semester), conduct and publish research, and
participate in university and community service. Salary and
benefits package is competitive.
Department: Management and Human Resources (MHR) is
one of five departments in the College of Business. The
Department offers bachelors and masters degrees in
management and human resources, and teaches management
related courses in the MBA program. The College is in the
process of seeking approval for a Ph.D. program.
Institution: Utah State University was founded in 1888 as the
land-grant institution within the public education system of Utah.
USU is a Carnegie Doctoral Extensive research institution, with
a student body of approximately 16,500 undergraduates and
3,000 graduate students from all 50 states and 80 foreign
countries. There are 44 academic departments with 850 faculty
in eight colleges. USU is located in Logan, Utah in a beautiful
mountain valley approximately 80 miles northeast of Salt Lake
City. The ski resorts, lakes, rivers, and mountains in the area
make it one of the finest outdoor recreation environments in the
nation.
