Some Fulbright Scholar grants for the 2004-05 academic year have extended
deadlines for lecturing, research, and lecturing/research awards for faculty
and professionals in some countries. Go to www.cies.org for a list of
    awards open in education.

Grants range from two months to an academic year. While foreign language
skills are needed in some countries, most Fulbright lecturing assignments
    are in English.
While many awards specify project and host institution, there are a number
of open "All Disciplines" awards that allow candidates to propose their own
project and determine their host institution affiliation.

    Awards may be available in:
Albania, Bahrain, Bosnia, Egypt, India, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon,
Macedonia, Malaysia, Maldives, Middle East/South Asia Regional Research
program, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Syria

Awards are closing daily, so contact the program officer for the country you
    are interested in before applying.
