Organization Management Journal is a refereed online publication sponsored
    by
the Eastern Academy of Management. OMJ is international in scope, and is
organised into four distinct sections: Linking Theory and Practice,
    Teaching
and Learning, Works by Emerging Scholars, and Bibliography. Each section
    has
its own editorial mission, editors, and review board.
OMJ is designed as a forum for broad philosophical, social, and practical
thought about management and organizing. We publish articles that advance
knowledge in the areas of management and organizational theory, research,
education, and practice. Through our peer-review process, we intend to
enhance the professional development of scholars, practitioners, and
    doctoral
students. More specifically, OMJ publishes papers that:
    * Address the interface between theoretical insight and practical
    application
    * Enhance the teaching of management, especially through the use of
    experiential pedagogies
    * Represent the early stages of theorizing about management and
organizing in unique and perceptive ways
    * Serve as a resource for our readers' professional development
The Works by Emerging Scholars section is co-edited by Anshu Prasad and
    David
Richards and our intention is to provide an opportunity to serve the
community of emerging scholars of organisation and management and, as a
result, to enhance the field at large. We intend the Section to be as
inclusive as possible and are interested in both emerging scholars and
    emerging scholarship.
We encourage the submission of papers on any topic, in any field, from
research degree students and postdoctoral fellows, scholars in their first
    or
early academic employment, and anyone else who considers her- or him- self
    as
an emerging scholar working within the field of Organisation and Management
Studies (and related disciplines) worldwide. In encouraging the next
generation of researchers and writers in this field, we recognise that not
all will be new to academia; some may simply be new to the area of theory
    or
research that is now emerging for them.
What distinguishes Works by Emerging Scholars is our commitment to emerging
scholars and emerging scholarship. We view our editorial role as a
developmental one that will nurture and improve new work. Once a paper has
been accepted for the review process, we will undertake to mentor it so
    that
the process results in the publication of new, creative, and intriguing
    insights into organizations and management.
Our goal is to present the best in contemporary emerging scholarship while
fostering conversations across disciplinary and ideological divides. We
    will
provide a forum for emerging scholars to present their ideas and offer
    fresh
perspectives on current debates and practical insights on scholarly
discourse. Unlike many other journals, we hope to avoid rigid orthodoxies
    and
publish the best of both theoretical work and applied research and
    criticism
    on a range of issues.
The first edition is coming up soon and I would be interested in any
submissions from any of you who could possibly be described as emerging
scholars to publish in the journal. Please circulate this call widely
    amongst
your research and doctoral students and colleagues.
