Deborah why not use a student based current affairs approach to
generate resources? Ask them to provide a press clipping that
considers the issues you mentioned. Then then present this to the
group and consider the implications. You can use these to develop
appropriate cases to use in the examination. Also you enjoy the
benefits of peer tutoring and mutual scaffolding of cognitive
processes.
I have just started using this approach with a part-time, post-
experience group and the results are extremely good with very
positive feedback.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes,
John

I don't know which textbook you use (I use Cummings & Worley, Organization
Development & Change, which includes many short and long cases available
electronically through the publisher's web resources for the instructor).
If you want something different,... For exams, I often create short cases
based on current events , using information from newspaper (e.g. Globe &
Mail) or business mags (e.g. Canadian Business,...) coverage of the event.
For instance, when Air Canada merged with Canadian Airlines, or when
Aircanada feared banktuptcy and tried to adjust its business strategy to
include low-cost carrier services,.. while negociating with its unions.
Usually, if the event has built up for a few weeks, you can find a few
good articles which summarize the situation, including what different key
stakeholders say, some analysis of the issues, and you can create a
composite for a short case. It is time consuming, but it's fun, and students
are generally surprised to work on a case based on current events.

Subject: Short Case Study
I am trying to find a short case study for a mid-term that can be handled by
undergrads in a Change Management course. I would like the case to concern
the issues of change mgmt, org design, resistance to change. Something of a
more macro nature than the OB issues of groups etc.
Does anyone have something easily accessible online or electronically that
is about a page in length to read and can be handled along with some short
answer questions in an exam of 1 1/2 hour duration?
