26th Annual Summer Case Research Meeting

Two New Features!
Embryo Cases: Up to a three-page proposal (plus cover sheet) may be
submitted for new cases planned for the 2005 meeting. Proposals should
contain the following: a) Description of the
company/organization/situation, b) purpose of the case including courses or
courses for which the case is intended, c) research methodology and
information sources currently initiated or planned, d) brief description of
issues the author might encounter in developing the case. The Embryo Case
session will be held on Saturday, July 17 over lunch and into the early
afternoon.
C. R. Christensen Award for the Outstanding First-Time Case Author. Named
for the well-known and respected Harvard Business School professor, this
award will be made to the outstanding case developed by a first-time case
author. Author(s) should include the following statement on eligible cases
submitted by the regular May 17 deadline: This case is submitted for
consideration for the C.R. Christensen Award. The author(s) has(ve) not
previously presented a case at a professional meeting or published a case in
a journal or text.
Program and Submission Information
When and Where: Begins Thursday, July 15, 2004 and continues through lunch
on Saturday, July 17, 2002. Day sessions will be held on the Rockhurst
campus. Two evening sessions will be at Kauffman Foundation and 18th and
Vine.
Deadline for Submissions: Cases and teaching notes should be submitted no
later than May 17, 2004.
Cost of the Workshop: Registration for the workshop will be $145 for
members, which includes meals and an evening social. In order to present a
case, you must be a member of the Society for Case Research (SCR). SCR dues
membership is $50.
Lodging: Inexpensive lodging opportunities will be provided on campus as
well as many off campus opportunities. Details will be sent in a follow up
email.
Kansas City as a Live Case!: Well provide the setting with Kansas City
Jazz and Blues, the Negro Baseball Museum, the Kauffman Entrepreneurial
Foundation and much more. If your schedule permits, stay for a Royals game,
go to the Nelson Atkins Museum or Kemper Contemporary Art Gallery, or many
