  • 1.  Question on LMX leadership

    Posted 06-10-2004 03:14
    Dear Lmxlotus@aol.com,

Can you give a full citation for this book and the author's
name? I tried to find it at the Library of Congress and found
only one title under "LMX leadership." This book does not
seem to be a book on doctoral education, but rather an edited
collection on diversity by George B. Graen.

It would help to know what LMX is, who you are, and
    why you recommend this book.

    Thanks,

    Ken Friedman

    Dear Professor Friedman,

I'm sorry that my name was omitted from my email.

LMX leadership is about developing authentic relationships between people
with unequal power. It works best when both advisor and student understand the
process and accept the responsibilities. Such relationships are most useful
    dealing with change.

    Enjoy your Ph.D. advising,

    George Graen
