2nd Annual Edvinsson - Saint-Onge Best Student Paper Award
Only students registered in university programs are eligible.
AMOUNT: $2,000 USD
THEME:
Intellectual Capital
Research @ Large
Much of the extant literature on intellectual capital has focused on the
firm level of analysis from a variety of functional perspectives such as
accounting, finance, human resources, strategy and information systems.
However, alternative perspectives from non-traditional areas provide
important new research questions for intellectual capitalists. The
following are a sampling of emerging questions we wish students to navigate
through in their research papers: How can we identify, measure and leverage
the intellectual capital of nations or regions? How does intellectual
capital research influence global security and the war on terrorism? How
can we leverage intellectual capital research to improve health care? What
will the new urban design of a smart city look like? What are the key
intellectual capital elements that drive organizational innovation? How does
intellectual capital get developed and harvested in not-for-profit and
government organizations? What can we learn from children about intellectual
capital creativity? Is intellectual capital destruction important?
Although great strides have been made in recent years, there is much more
opportunity left to push the research agenda forward in new directions. For
this particular award, submitted papers can be conceptual, theoretical,
empirical, experimental, or case studies and will be adjudicated by the
awards committee:
