    Dear MG-ED-DV Member,

My name is Michael Kennedy and I am a doctoral candidate in the University
of North Texas Industrial/Organizational Psychology Ph.D. program. I am
contacting MG-ED-DV members to invite your participation in my dissertation
research investigating people's perceptions of fit with their job,
    organization, and profession.

A recent trend suggests that professional employees increasingly favor
career/professional development compared to commitment to an employing
organization. To examine this trend, the current study investigates
professionals' perceptions of fit with levels of their work environment
(e.g., job, organization, and profession) and the distinct impact of these
perceptions on their attitudes (e.g., job satisfaction) and behaviors (e.g.,
    performance).

Since my research focuses on perceived fit with one's profession, sampling
from a professional affiliation such as MG-ED-DV was chosen due to the level
of professionalism characteristic of its members.

This dissertation study is for research purposes only. Participation in the
study is anonymous and you will not be asked for any personally identifying
information. Furthermore, your responses will not be linked to you in any
way. The study's survey is web-based and should take no more than 20
minutes to complete. If you would like to receive a report of my research
findings, please reply to this email with "Send me the work perceptions
    report" in the subject line.

To participate in the study, please click on the link provided below to
access the study's web-based survey. Your participation is greatly
appreciated. Due to the restrictions of the study, members who are
self-employed, retired, or currently without employment are not eligible to
