week and may have missed a posting).
For any last minute AOM Meetings hotel seekers:
I just noticed that last week, Travelzoo.com listed a $69 per night special
at
"The Dauphine Orleans Hotel located at 415 Dauphine
St. in the heart of the French Quarter, just one block
from the bustle of Bourbon St. and two blocks from the
antique stores and art galleries of Royal St." (from
the hotel's web-site)
Just now I booked for Friday August 13 (for the night
after the MSR retreat) and "Stacey" (on the
reservation desk) tells me there are still some rooms
available during the regular AOM schedule.
Best way to check it out is probably to call the hotel
directly at 1-800-377-6563 and ask for "Sweet Summer
