    The 8th Conference on International Human Resource
    Management will be held in Cairns, Australia. The
    program is designed to appeal to practitioners as well
    as academics in IHRM, and general management.

    History
    The seven preceding conferences have been held in
    Singapore, Hong Kong, England (Ashridge Management
    College), Australia (Gold Coast), USA (San Diego),
    Germany (Paderborn), and Ireland (Limerick). In 2003,
    the Limerick Conference attracted some 400 registered
    participants. The 2005 conference is being held in
    association with the Australian Human Resource
    Institute, and co-sponsored by Bond University,
    Queensland University of Technology, and Monash
    University.

    Venue
    The venue is the 5-star Cairns International Hotel,
    Queensland, Australia. Cairns is the premier tourist
    destination and conference centre in Australia�s
    tropical north, and is renowned in particular for its
    proximity to the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest
    Daintree National Park. It has an airport serving
    national and international services and is also easily
    accessible by road and rail.

    Registration and Accommodation
    Registration: A$750 (early bird), A$850 (normal).
    Hotel accommodation will be able to be reserved at
    three levels, from budget (approx A$130 per room) to
    5-star (approx A$210) per night per room, and will be
    charged to delegates at cost to the Conference
    Committee. The Registration Fee covers:
    � Welcome reception (Tuesday 14th June evening);
    � Attendance at all sessions (Wednesday, Thursday,
    Friday);
    � Conference satchel with documents (book of abstracts
    and CD of all submissions);
    � Lunches (three days), morning teas (three days) and
    afternoon teas (two days),
    � Barbeque (Wednesday evening); and
    � Conference dinner (Thursday evening).

    INVITATION: Submissions are invited by Friday December
    17, 2004.
