Today once again offered evidence that we learn (i.e., find out) things in
odd ways. I subscribe to TFTD (thought for the day) and today's thought is
a quote from Daniel J. Boorstin. I didn't know he had passed away this year
and when I saw the lifespan dates behind his name, I felt a moment of
sadness. Then I was buoyed by the fact that he lived to be 90. Given that
this list ties to education, I thought I'd pass along today's TFTD.

    Education is learning
    what you didn't even know
    you didn't know.

Fred, I have another quote that I use all the time, on the same theme. I think it was Will Durant who said "education is the progressive discovery of our own ignorance."
