Again, I apologize for the cross-posting but I got lots of good responses to
the last post and no objections. So, here we go with Round 2.

As before, please respond to me or to one of the lists but please don't
    respond to all...

Earlier, I asked: What do YOU do when you find yourself in a situation
where you don't know what to do?

Lots of fascinating answers came in and I will write up a summary in the not
too distant future. But for now, I have a follow-on question. First, a
    little background.

It has been said that problem solving is what you do when you don't know
what to do. So, I was curious as to how people would answer the question
asked earlier. Lots of additions were made to the starter list I provided.
Right now, I'd like to sharpen the question a bit.

What I'd like to know is what you do when you're stuck, you're stymied. You
not only don't know wha to do, you haven't a clue. Then what do you do? If
your answers are the same as before, fine, and no need to respond. If you
have some additional comments, I'd like to hear them.

You sound a little like Dr. Seuss, Fred, when you ask:
You not only don't know wha to do,
    you haven't a clue.
    Then what do you do?

    So my answer is:
    I just look around
    upon firmer ground
    for those who expound
    on best practices sound.

    ! :-)

Just so long as we keep in mind that:

    there are no 'best practices.'

    there are only improvements.

    Cheers,
    Jay
