Regarding the piece about the Spaniards rethinking the role Siesta plays in
their lives and culture, I have a different view. Instead of the Spaniards
discarding the Siesta, I think the rest of the world should adopt it.

A Japanese University study and the American Psychological Association have
both found that a short nap, less than 30 minutes, in the afternoon can be
very beneficial if they are relatively consistently taken. Human body
cycles tend towards sleepiness between 2 pm and 4 pm, and this is not new
    information.

Nap rooms have been set up in a number businesses and activities in
California and have since the early '90s.

I agree with Fred, everyone should take one. Uh, pardon me while I look for
    our nap room.

    Hello,

There is a company called MetroNaps (www.metronaps.com) in New York City.
It is based on membership (like a gym) and you can come in once a day to
take a nap in sleep pods.

I wish I had thought of that...
