Journal of Foodservice Business Research
Special Issue:
Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management in Foodservice
CALL FOR PAPERS REMINDER
DEADLINE MAY 15th
Research in organizational behavior and human resource-management has
tremendous implications for the service industries. Specifically, strong
conceptual and empirical work in these areas offer utility for hospitality
academics and foodservice managers given the heavy reliance on human
capital and the competitive global marketplace. Researchers who consider
explicit linkages between concepts in OB (for example, organizational and
individual learning, value systems, personality, emotions, motivation,
leadership, and culture), and HRM (for example, pay and compensation
systems, benefits structures, recruitment, selection systems,
organizational development and training and service outcomes) can provide a
more thorough theoretical understanding. Optimally, such research will
also promote managerial solutions for increasing efficiency, employee and
consumer satisfaction, andultimatelyorganizational success. It is the
intent of the special issue to generate interdisciplinary research focused
on the foodservice industry. We welcome submissions that adopt novel and
creative ideas and methodologies.
