NACRA Call for Cases and Papers
North American Case Research Association (NACRA)
October 27-29, 2005
Cape Cod, MA
Submission Deadline: Monday, June 13, 2005
We welcome your case submissions from all disciplines for discussion in
roundtable workshops. The goal of the workshops is to help develop the cases
for publication in refereed journals, such as NACRA's Case Research Journal,
and in textbooks. We also seek papers and symposia proposals for two tracks:
"Teaching with Cases" and "Case Research for Theory Building and Testing." A
Newcomers' Workshop is offered for aspiring case writers who may also submit
"embryo" cases.
A new $1,000 cash award is offered for the best case in CORPORATE
GOVERNANCE. Other awards recognize best cases in BUSINESS ETHICS, EDUCATION/
PEDAGOGY, and HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT, and best cases by a student author, by
a newcomer, and by an author outside of the U.S. and Canada.
* The C. R. Christensen Outstanding Teaching Case Award is awarded to
a case presented in the Education Track, revised, and submitted to the Case
Research Journal. The award carries a prize of up to $1,000 supported by
donations and by a grant from the E. M. Kauffman Foundation. Cases to be
considered focus on the teaching process, pedagogical issues, and
intra/extra classroom incidents in the tradition reflected in the work of C.
R. Christensen. The recipient is expected to participate in a discussion of
the case at the C. R. Christensen Teaching Session, a plenary session at the
annual NACRA meeting the following year.
