Call for Proposals and Applications
Deadline for submission: October 15, 2005
Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has established the new
Management Education Research Institute (MERInstitute) to stimulate
research on issues impacting graduate management education. The GMACR
MERInstitute funds empirical research related to graduate business
education around the world-research that defines and evaluates the value
and outcomes of graduate management education-through its Fellowship and
Grants Programs.
GMACR has collected, analyzed, and disseminated research on issues of
strategic and practical importance to management education for the past
50 years. Data from the extensive large-scale data sets gathered through
GMACR surveys of prospective graduate management students, current
students, alumni, and employers are available. Full descriptions of
survey data are available at
http://www.gmac.com/MERInstitute .
. Faculty Fellowships Program-The Institute offers up to four (4)
fellowships annually with rewards up to US$40,000 each for research at
the fellows' home institutions.
. Grants Program- The Institute is equally interested in funding both
primary research and research that mines data from surveys conducted
by GMAC. Large (up to US$100,000) and small (up to $20,000) grants
are awarded. Visit
www.gmac.com/MERInstitute for this year's Call for
Proposals.
. Affiliated Research Program-Faculty can license large-scale data sets
from GMAC for use in their research studies. The available data sets
contain information about prospective graduate management students,
current students, alumni, and employers. Questionnaires are available
upon request by contacting
