    Dear Friends,

As you may know, the MED Division was awarded an Enterprise Award to
establish the MED Global Forum. The goal of the forum is to facilitate a
better understanding of the global aspects of management education and
development and to encourage more networking regarding teaching, learning
and research in this field at international and global levels.

The first meeting for the MED Division's Global Forum was held at the 2005
AoM Annual Conference in Hawaii. Many indicated interest in the Global
Forum; however a number sent apologies and said that they would not attend
the 2005 conference. Nevertheless, 30 people attended the workshop in Hawaii
and about 40 attended the global dinner. The workshop identified a number of
key issues. Afterwards, we resolved to establish ways in which these issues
could be properly addressed. We view the establishment of two panels as a
good way to ensure that we build a cadre of people who would mentor others
regarding teaching and research in global MED and provide country-specific
    information and resources.

Now, we would like to identify those persons who are interested in being on
one of the two panels. We would be grateful if you would kindly note the
description of each panel below, indicate your interest in serving on one of
the panels, provide your brief cv and abstract (if requested) and your
personal contact details. The deadline to express interest is Monday,
October 31, 2005. Thanks in advance for your interest!

MED (Management Education and Development) Division's Panels

Panel One - Global Experts in Management
This panel will consist of persons who are Global Experts in Management
(GEMS). They will possess deep knowledge of management education and
development and will provide mentoring and advice regarding the
global/international aspects of management education, learning, and
development; knowledge management; and managing learning institutions,
    departments, and/or faculties.

    Panel Two: Country Resource Experts
This panel will consist of Country-specific Resource Experts (CREs) who have
deep knowledge of country-specific teaching approaches, learning methods,
and teaching and research collaborations and opportunities. These persons
will possess deep knowledge of management education and development in
specific countries and would provide information leading to publication of
country-specific management education and development (MED) information.
This information would consist of MED Fact sheets on a country by country
    basis.

Let me know of your interest by responding to the statements below. The
