Braving offense of others and raising hyper-sensitive
hackles, my son graduated from UC-Berkeley a bit over
a year ago. While there: he was part of a small group
walking adjacent to the campus who were attacked and
beaten by a vanload of local high school students who
prey on the "gownies", had two motorcycles stolen by
thieves using hacksaws on the steel pole it was
secured to, and had two laptops stolen from his room
in break-ins in his co-op apartment building.
As anywhere, you should be careful and take care of
youself and your stuff.
