I am a faculty member in a Management Department at an AACSB Business
College. As Chair of our Department Development Committee, I am
seeking a quantitative self-assessment instrument that could generate
a profile (perhaps a multidimensional graphic profile)of our
department faculty's perceptions, value emphases and/or interest
priorities with respect to department mission and management
education. One dimension, for example, might be a Likert scale of 1-10
on the relative importance of academic research to department mission;
another scale might be the importance of exposure to practitioner
performance in management education; and still another might be a
ranking of relative importance of different managerial specialties
(such as Organization Behavior, Strategic Management, etc.) for
undergraduate and graduate management education.
If any colleague has devised, used or knows of such an instrument in
the research that would generate a department profile, I would be very
appreciative if you would be willing to share it.
Thank you.
