I am currently finalizing my dissertation prospectus, my theoretical framework has not been widely researched since 1996.  My dissertation committee has requested that I add some current up to date literature on the theoretical framework.  I am trying to locate new (within the last 5 -7 years) research on Hackman & Oldham's Job Characteristics Theory relating to Job Satisfaction.

If anyone can assist me, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

    HI TACHA,

I SUGGEST THAT YOU LOOK AT LMX LEADERSHIP: THE SERIES PUBLISHED BY INFO AGE PUBLISHING FOR ADVANCES IN DICK AND GREG'S THEORY. DICK TOLD ME THAT WE WERE THE ONLY RESEARCHERS TO MAKE IT WORK IN OUR FIELD EXPERIMENTS. IN THIS STUDY AND IT'S REPLICATION, HARD PRODUCTION INCREASED 50% FROM BEFORE THE LMX TRAINING OF SUPERVISORS TO AFTER THE TREATMENT  SUPERVISORS MADE AN LMX OFFER TO EACH OF THEIR PEOPLE FOR THE TOP THIRD ON GROWTH NEED STRENGTH COMPARED TO THE BOTTOM TWO THIRDS. WE'VE INCORPORATED  JOB CHARACTERISTIC MODEL INTO THE NEW LMX-MMX LEADERSHIP THEORY. SEE VOL. IV, 2006 FOR DETAILS.

    GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DISSERTATION.

I suggest you look at Social Sciences Index for citations of Hackman & Oldham's papers.
