A presentation I made recently on the captioned is now available on-
    line at

    http://www.a2q.com/A2Q_to_ASM_public.pdf

It can be found on my web site, http://www.a2q.com, under the section
on Opinion Pieces - "Verbal Papers"
If you download it, please tell me, as my web site is not yet
sophisticated enough to get your email address.

    Abstract:
Outsourcing of production affects us all, from production line worker
to engineer to sales manager to CEO. Outsourcing is really a fierce
form of competition that we must meet. Giving up is not an
    acceptable alternative.

Competition has always been met by some combination of “better,
cheaper, faster.” Jay will illustrate with local [mostly SE
Wisconsin, USA] success cases, and discuss specifics for how each of
us can apply principles of improvement to our own products and
markets to satisfy more customers better.

Among other points, I argue that we make the effort involved for our
children and grandchildren. They are far more valuable to us than
    corporate profits.

    Regards,
    Jay
