A leading scholar in the CSR can be also found closer to home... Dr. Eleanor O'Higgins (works at the UCD School of Business in Dublin) is a leading authority on CSR who has been teaching postgraduate ethics classes and conducted research on these topics. She is also the current Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Academy of Management, a rather prestigious international leadership role. In addition, she is the director of Transparency International Ireland. Obviously, a major advantage would be that on top of being up to date with cutting edge international scholarship on CSR, Eleanor is also intimately familiar with the cultural and economic specific issues pertaining to Ireland and the UK in this area (she held visiting professorship at LSE).
