    Hello All,

I thought this symposium might be of particular interest to MEDers. In addition to interactive sessions of international scope, participants will walk away with real tools for implementing service-learning in their classrooms. To ease the pain of the early morning hour, a light breakfast will be served. This is a PDW I can highly recommend!

    Regards,
    Steve

The symposium consists of ten presentations that were intentionally brought together to create a collective platform from which AoM attendees could walk away with a solid overview of the current status and future directions of service-learning (SL) as a community-based case methodology. The ten presentations provide: (1) an overview of the domain both nationally and internationally, (2) program and course-level examples, (3) SL challenges, (4) issues related to the interface between technology and service-learning, and (5) comparisons of SL with the traditional paper-based case methodology. The symposium presenters are recognized leaders and practitioners in the SL domain.
