    Colleagues,

We haven't had a dialog about a basic concept for quite a while.

Perhaps you'll choose to dialog about "community."  In particular, I'm interested in understanding what a "community of innovation" is or might be.

I sense that "community" is an emergent property of its members.  That is, community evolves organically from interactions between members.  Relationships might be more core to community than leadership.

    How do you define community?
What other terms are useful in thinking about community?  For instance, how does "community" differ from "network?"
How would you develop a community?
What would be different between a community of individuals and a community of organizations?
Are there "principles of community?"  Universal concepts for initiating and sustaining a community?
What questions would you like answered in this dialog?

Thanks in advance for your participation in this dialog.

    Best,

    Gary
