Dear Colleagues,
My research suggests that women in powerful positions finally can take advantage of their self-efficacy in interpersonal network building and extracting knowledge and power from their various networks. With the rapid advancement of the information age, these competences likely will be sought by many top management teams. Women who build such elaborate information and helping networks will be rewarded by both power and perks. When knowledge wins, the old boy's clubs become anachronisms.
We need to teach our students to prepare for the new facts of organizational life, such as, that the information age likely will make networking skills critical to getting the proper information on time and on budget. Please read my attachment. Thank you!
Cheers,
George
