International Fellowships at the Open University
Santander-Abbey Fellowships > Introduction to the scheme
The Open University and Abbey, part of Banco Santander, which established the Santander Universities scheme, are working in partnership to offer scholarships for academics from Higher Education Institutes in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries within Santander Universities' network.
The scholarships encourage the transfer of knowledge around the world, through research or course writing. Academics are invited to spend three to six months at the Open University and participate in its Santander-Abbey Fellowship programme. Funding is available to cover travel, accommodation and living expenses.
Santander Universities collaborates with university and research institutions around the world, supporting the development of initiatives including pedagogical projects, study and relocation assistance, research programmes, university - company relations, new technologies, global projects and more.
