Bruce,
In the past, I have used the Napster case published in Hill and Jones. At that time, it was in the 6th edition. Here is the citation: Hill, Charles W. L. "Napster." Cases in Strategic Management. Ed. Charles W. L. Hill, and Gareth R. Jones. New York: Houghton Mifflin, 2004. C77-C86. I don't have a teaching note for the case, but I suppose there is one available.
Most recently, I've begun using Crown Cork & Seal in 1989, which appears in the Dess et al. text. I prefer the Napster case because it is more appealing to students and addresses all 6 of the SEPT++ segments of the general environment. My undergraduates find the container industry rather droll, but I tell them that it's healthy for them regardless. When we discuss the beer industry later in the semester (Heineken, they already have an understanding of the container industry.
I hope this helps.
