    ANNOUNCEMENT
    -----====================================-----
    Ex Libris
    A Reader's Club For Organizational Leaders
    -----====================================-----

    Ex Libris is a reader's club for organizational leaders who are
    interested in coming together to examine and discuss current leader-
    ship and organizational development issues. Each month a current
    book on leadership and organizational development is selected for
    reading and a one-hour telephone forum is held in which club members
    engage in collective inquiry and discussion around key concepts and
    ideas as presented by the author(s) of these selected texts.
    Additionally, a FREE Executive Book Summary is available by request
    each month to interested readers.

    Participation in Club Reader Forums is also FREE. Club members are,
    however, expected to assume responsibility for the purchase of books
    and the cost of long distance telephone charges. Registration to
    attend reader forums is offered on a month-by-month basis and forum
    size is limited in order to allow for group interaction. Space is
    filled on a first come, first served basis.

    The theme for the second half of 1998 is the evolution of a leader's
    character and career.

    With this theme in mind, the first two texts selected for the 2nd
    Half of 1998 are "Synchronicity: The Inner Path of Leadership" by
    Joseph Jaworski and "Defining Moments: When Managers Must Choose
    between Right and Right" by Joseph L. Badaracco, Jr. Both of these
    texts will be used to establish a "dialogue framework" for the
    remaining texts which consist of a series of books written by
    contemporary U.S. leaders. A list of selected books as well as
    a 2nd Half/1998 calendar of reader forums is below.

    Please Note:
    ============
    1) Participation in any Ex Libris Reader Forum does not require
    past participation or that you have read the book. An Executive
    Summary of each book being discussed is provided in advance of
    each Reader Forum in order to provide an overview of the concepts
    and ideas that will be discussed.

    2) There are 8 book selections for the 2nd Half of 1998 which required
    more than one Reader Forum per month. Specifically, both July and
    August have two Reader Forums scheduled.

    3) The focus of the next six months is centered upon books written by
    contemporary leaders within the U.S. If you would like to recommend
    adding a book written by a leader outside of the U.S. please
    contact <laureen@quanah.com. with your recommendation and it will
    be considered for inclusion.

    Organizational leaders wishing to be added to QUANAH's Ex Libris
    mailing list should complete the attached form and send it to
    exlibris@quanah.com. Information regarding additional club events
    and activities will be provided as well as registration request
    forms for participation in future Reader's Forums.

    For more information, please contact a QUANAH staff person at
    phone: 1-800-284-3012 or e-mail: exlibris@quanah.com.

    Thank you.
