I leave next week for an advisory board meeting of the Middle East
Institute of Higher Education based at the American University in
Cairo. One of the vexing problems we face is designing outreach
programs to assist college and university leaders in the region
address cultural inhibitions to using technology-enhanced active
learning strategies in their instructional methods.

I have described the problem in Innovate-Ideagora at
http://tinyurl.com/c9h6lk If you have the time, and if you are
interested in the complexities of addressing this problem, please join
in the discussion. Also, please invite colleagues who have expertise
in this area to join in as well.

    Thanks!

    Jim
