Hi Community,I am interested in submitting a caucus proposal with the title, "Leadership-as-Practice: Implications for leadership education". My intention is to propose a topic that engages leadership educators or scholars in exploratory discussion of how to apply L-A-P in the leadership pedagogy. L-A-P's "essence is its conception of leadership as occurring as a practice rather than residing in the traits or behaviors of particular individuals." It is premised on the belief that leadership as a practise resides as "intersubjective agency, shared sense-making, dialogue, and co-construction of responsibilities."
As we all know, presenting leadership as a relation, intersubjective agency, or co-construction of resposnbilities requires rethinking our current conceptualization of the pedagogy of leadership. Therefore, it is essential to discuss or debate the challenges or deficiencies in our current leadership education.
If you are interested in joining me in either writing the proposal or endorsing my proposal, please email me.------------------------------
