MED invites junior faculty and doctoral students to join an interactive video webinar by Professor Diana Bilimoria on January 31, 2022 at 10:30am (ET).
While the shift from in-person to virtual classrooms continues to challenge the higher education system, management education remains a noble profession. A pedagogical focus is needed now more than ever to maintain student interest and enrollment. However, junior faculty and doctoral students often feel greater pressure to perform research-related duties over pedagogical development. This webinar will discuss the principles of learner-centered education and offer keys to being an excellent instructor within the context of management education today.
Dr. Diana Bilimoria is KeyBank Professor and Professor and Chair of the Department of Organizational Behavior at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University. She has served on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Management, as the Chair of its Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division, and as the editor of the Journal of Management Education. Dr. Bilimoria has received several honors and recognitions including the 2019 Academy of Management Learning & Education Best Paper Award, the Scholarly Contributions to Educational Practice Advancing Women in Leadership Award, and the Weatherhead School of Management's Teaching Excellence Award and Doctoral Teaching Excellence Award.
