Call for Chapter Proposals
Forthcoming Palgrave Handbook
Dear respected colleagues,
There are still a few spots available, so I am inviting you to consider submitting a chapter title and abstract toward possible inclusion in the following forthcoming edited collection, to be published by Palgrave under the title:
The Palgrave Handbook of Fulfillment, Wellness, and Personal Growth at Work
Orientation:
Work remains one of the most important factors that ties us, humans throughout the globe, together. Yet, the percentage of satisfied and fulfilled workers remains alarmingly low. A global poll conducted by Gallup reported that only 15% out of the world's one billion full-time workers are engaged at work. This indicates that 85% of people in the world are unhappy in their jobs. With such a large percentage of disengaged workforce members in our world, the wellness levels of these working people cannot expected to be high. This may also imply that many people don't appreciate the purpose of what they are doing, which is not only an unsustainable trend, but also signifies a lack of focus on practices and trends in large percentages of global workplaces.
To help address this critical issue, I am inviting interested authors toward a collaborative project centering on fulfillment, wellness, and personal growth at work. These factors are not only interrelated and enticing to all members of the global workforce, but they also make intuitive sense to scholars, practitioners, and students of a wide divergence of professional settings.
In order to make this a profound work consisting of divergent viewpoints, it is the intention to build this collective volume on a wide range of existing leadership literature, yet, not exclude studies performed by the contributing authors.
If interested, please submit your suggested title and a brief abstract (150 - 200 words) to:
