You are cordially invited to attend our PDW titled "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Organizations in South Asia" on Saturday, August 5, from 8:00 – 9:30 am. The event will take place at Boston Marriott Copley Place, Simmons, 3rd Floor
The PDW will address the historical, legislative, political, societal, religious, and corporate forces unique to South Asia that affect DEII policies and practices, compare DEII research among the countries in the South Asian region and outside, impact of future of work on the DEI policies, and role of leaders and managers in formulating and implementing DEI policies and practices in the region. We will feature a short introductory panel and roundtable discussions to discuss and share participant perspectives. Attendees will gain valuable insights into the South Asian context and the challenges and opportunities when conducting DEI research on the region.
The PDW is sponsored by the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), human resources (HR), international management (IM), and social issues in management (SIM) divisions. Thus, it will encourage multi-way conversation and interaction among participants from multiple divisions, disciplines, regions, career stages, or demographic backgrounds.
Associated with this PDW, we envision an edited volume of a book titled "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity in Business in South Asia." The book proposal is under consideration with Palgrave MacMillan. Thus, if interested, you can share your idea with the organizers for a possible book chapter contribution.
