I had a thought recently about the standards or criteria used in rubrics and where they originate.
I may be late to the game here, but I've had a revelation that the standards/criteria should come from the literature. For example, if I have HR students create a job advertisement, the criteria I use to grade their ads should be based on what we have found to be most effective through research, thus the criteria should come from the literature.
Do you use rubrics? How did you decide on the criteria?
