New from SAGE Publishing: Helping Develop the Next Generation of Business Leaders and Managers

A Message from the MED Division Chair 2021-22

MED Chair

Welcome to the Management Education and Development (MED) Division of the Academy of Management (AOM)!

We are an energetic, inclusive and friendly community with over 1700 members from around the globe. We advance scholarly research and research-informed learning, teaching and management practices related to educating and developing (future) management educators, managers and leaders. To learn more about our division visit our domain statement.

Our academic and executive members enjoy an exciting, cutting-edge conference program each year with inspiring scholars and various occasions for networking and participation in the division – as conference participants, MED officers, MED reviewers, MED Ambassadors and AMLE editors and authors. Other MED highlights include our excellent interactive MED Webinars which bring together academics and practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest topics in management learning and education, and the distinguished MED Writers Workshop which provides authors the opportunity to receive feedback on their manuscript from experienced MED reviewers and management education journal editorial boards members.

Each year MED also recognizes its membership with several best paper, symposium and professional development workshop (PDW) awards, multiple outstanding reviewer awards and outstanding service awards.

Doctoral students and junior faculty are especially encouraged to get in touch with us – let us introduce you to the opportunities our division offers in order to help you further your career.
